LSM cops top spot in campus journ tilt


Lourdes School of Mandaluyong claimed the overall championship in the 2nd PEB Ink and Click Campus Journalism Seminar and Contest at Lourdes School of Quezon City (LSQC) last Nov. 25-26.


Spearheaded by LSQC’s official high school publication The Pax et Bonum (PEB), the competition focused on the theme, “Paving the Path for the New Au Courant Student Journalist”. Workshops and discussions on journalism and media were simultaneously held with the individual writing contest proper.

All of the six Lourdesian delegates for the event bagged awards in different categories.

Tabram Roi Ballesteros and Leonard Marius Nolasco emerged first in News Writing and Pagsulat ng Balita, respectively.

Miguel Angelo Magbag clinched 1st place for Pagsulat ng Lathalain while Kidd Alonzo Juwan Palanca reached 2nd place in Features Writing.

Carl Thomas Jacinto grabbed 2nd place in Editorial Writing as Kerwin Lloyd Sarabia landed on 3rd place for Pagsulat ng Editoryal. Moreover, Kevin Lloyd Aboy, Joshua Maximo, Robert Kyle Mejia, and Luis Rivera actively participated in different campus journalism workshops which were among the series of activities for LSQC’s weeklong High School Academic Fair with the theme, “Learn to Share, Share to Learn as Troubadours of Mercy”.

Participants toured around the campus and visited a variety of exhibits which showcased of outstanding works from LSQC students.
