RATIONALE

Lourdes School of Mandaluyong in its vision of producing fully integrated Christian person promotes the formation of interest clubs through the Student Club Activity program for the purpose of providing the students skills and experiences outside the regular class sessions to develop further their specific talents, interests and leadership potentials.

OBJECTIVES

- identify clubs suited to the needs of students;

- promote through club activities the spiritual, physical, social, emotional, mental and aesthetic development of the students

- develop Christian leadership and interpersonal skills in students.

SCHEDULE OF CLUB MEETINGS

The regular club schedule is every 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month. Moderators and members, however, may go beyond the scheduled club meetings if they find it necessary to attain their objectives. A parent’s permit will be required if the extra club meeting would fall beyond official school hours.

THE GRADE SCHOOL CLUB CLUSTERS and ORGANIZATIONS

The Clubs are divided into four clusters to help the students identify and hone their line of interest. Each club is handled by a responsible and committed moderator who can be an LSM teacher/personnel or an equally qualified guest mentor recommended by the Student Activity Coordinator to the LSM Commission on Appointment.

Every student is encouraged to list down according to his line of interest at least three clubs so that in the event that his first choice could no longer accommodate him (the club has reached its maximum number of members or the club has been dissolved because it did not reach the minimum number of required members), he can still join a club of his preference.

CLUB CLUSTERS

-Clubs that guide the students in discovering , valuing and advocating what’s true and essential in life
