By God’s grace, His Excellency Bishop Broderick Pabillio, DD, Auxiliary Bishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila, will preside the AY2020-2021 Baccalaureate and Thanksgiving Mass at noon of Monday, June 28th, at the Manila Cathedral. This auspicious moment is made more meaningful by that day’s memorial of St. Irenaeus, Bishop, Martyr, and Father of the Church. He was a staunch defender against doctrinal errors and eloquently wrote about the marvelous grace of God’s love which underpins our redemption and salvation. He teaches us that becoming like Christ is possible because Christ has first loved us and had chosen to become like us: “qui propter immensam suam dilectionem factus est quod sumus nos, uti nos perficeret esse quod et ipse.”
We welcome and invite all formators, Masters, and Sons to attend this Mass. We especially expect the candidates for graduation and their families to gather and participate in the Liturgy while it is being streamed live. We recommend sharing a celebratory lunch after the Mass; please observe the Eucharistic Fast (no food or drink except water or medicine one hour before the Mass, i.e., beginning 11am, until the end of the Mass). When you post your family pictures before or after (but not during) the Mass, please use the hashtag #LSMBaccalaureate. Pax et bonum!
