This Diamond 60th Anniversary of Lourdes School of Mandaluyong finds the annual Costume Parade that launches our Grade School’s Academic Month transported from the Brother Juniper Square to the Grand Atrium of the neighboring Shangri-La Plaza Mall, thanks to their generous hospitality and community spirit. The young Masters arrived colorfully decked as characters from Disney movies, dashing in the magnificent creativity that has traditionally marked this event. As they paraded about the mall, they joyfully greeted mall goers and gave out Lourdesian bookmarks that featured inspirational quotes from Capuchin holy men. High school Masters came out in support to serve as marshals, guides, and honor guards. For the culminating program, high school Masters, as well as some teachers and Sons of Lourdes, entertained their younger brothers with different musical and theatrical performances. Parents and family members of the grade school Masters also came out in full support, lending the afternoon an exuberant and festive atmosphere reflecting the joyful journey of our boys as they are formed and educated in excellence, holiness, and service.
