We’ve all been trying our best to endure and cope with this pandemic and its effects on the way we live and how we relate with one another. It has brought about a torrent of shifts and changes and it is easy to lose sight of our focus, our goals, and even our identity. In the face of the many new things that demand to be recognized as normal now, frustration and disorientation can wear us down to the point of forgetting that we Christians are actually standing on solid ground! As Christians, we have an unchanging and reliable anchor from which we have always drawn resilience, joy, and strength no matter what we’ve faced over the millennia. We invite you to take time after lunch this Friday, October 23, and reconnect with Our Lady and find rest under her motherly protection; join the Lourdesian community in prayer and reflection as we allow Mary to bring us closer to her Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, our redeemer and savior. It is He Who has shown us the example of how to face adversity; as we reflect on the Sorrowful Mysteries, let us together rediscover the grit that never leaves the heart of a child of God even amid the most cruel of trials or the heaviest of crosses. Pax et bonum!
