From underdogs to formidable contenders, our Lourdes School Griffins stretched their wings and honorably finished 1st Runner-up at the PRADA Juniors Basketball League, nipped only by Xavier School cagers.
Finding themselves in the championships was 22 years in the making for LSM’s varsity Masters. Missing the gold cup does not make less brilliant their mighty march to the League Finals, bowing erstwhile solid opponents by their Griffins grit and prowess on the court.
We look forward with beaming hope as to what lay in the future for our brothers. We cheer on our Lourdes Griffins to soar higher and roar louder, aiming ever more passionately for excellence. For now we congratulate them for a battle well fought, and for being gentlemen of character and honor–gracious in witnessing to the truth that more than the win, triumph is found in playing with valor, integrity, and sportsmanship!
