The LSM Community joyfully bring to life Saint Francis’ Christmas experience at Greccio!
Kantahan Festival 2025 filled the Saint Francis Theater with Christmas cheer and beloved hits! In this annual Lourdesian tradition, our Lourdesian masters offered hymns of praise to the Infant Jesus and spread light-hearted joy through entertaining performances. Our heartfelt commendation goes to the students, formators, parents, and everyone who supported this meaningful endeavor.

The Panunuluyan is a beloved Filipino Christmas tradition. Usually observed on Christmas Eve or in the days preceding, this reenactment tells the story of Mary and Joseph’s journey in search of shelter for the birth of our Lord. Guided by the Gospel account of the census that brought them from Nazareth to Bethlehem, the Panunuluyan invites us to examine our selves, whether we have room within us for the Lord and the Holy Family this Christmas. This tradition formed part of the activities held last December 12, 2025, during the Paskuhan sa LSM, a community celebration that reflects Saint Francis of Assisi’s encounter at Greccio and the first Christmas reenactment.

The Lourdesian Community gathered for the Greccio Mass, a Franciscan celebration that recalls Saint Francis of Assisi’s reenactment of his Christmas in Greccio. Following the Panunuluyan, the Child Jesus was enthroned on the altar and gently placed in the Belén, marking the heart of the celebration. The Greccio Mass reminds the school of its calling to become a new Bethlehem. In the words of Thomas of Celano, recalling the Christmas of 1223.
Lourdesian masters from the High School Department, together with all the formators, joined the Mass as evening fell. After the blessing, the Christmas decorations around the campus were illuminated, filling the square with joy and radiant smiles.
