Lourdes School of Mandaluyong (LSM) joyfully welcomed future Lourdesians and their families to Open House 2025 earlier today, March 22, offering a glimpse into the vibrant learning environment that nurtures both academic excellence and character formation. Parents and guardians were greeted with the warmth of Pax et Bonum (Peace and All Good), a Franciscan salutation that reflects the very heart of Lourdesian values.
At the heart of the opening program, Rev. Fr. Cesar F. Acuin, OFMCap., School Rector, delivered an inspiring address, providing an in-depth look into the school’s thrust, philosophy, vision, and mission. He underscored LSM’s unwavering commitment to forming boys and young gentlemen into Christian leaders, imbued with Gospel Brotherhood and Marian Spirituality. The Father Rector also highlighted the school’s holistic approach to education—developing not only academic excellence but also strong moral character and a deep sense of joyful service to the community.
The school’s departmental academic programs—rooted in Christian Religious Education (CREd) as the core of the curriculum—were introduced by Mrs. Janeth M. Tan, Grade School English Coordinator, Mrs. Dionelyn A. Luchavez, Junior High School Assistant Principal for Academics, and Mrs. Jonalyn G. Gozum, Senior High School Prefect of Studies. They emphasized the school’s strong learning academic support system for both learners and formators, as well as the vital home-school collaboration in ensuring student success.
One of the event’s highlights was the innovative Trial Classes, designed to provide a hands-on learning experience for incoming Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grades 7–10, and Grade 11 students. These engaging and interactive sessions offered a smooth and exciting introduction to Lourdesian education. Prospective students and parents also enjoyed a guided campus tour led by our High School student ambassadors, showcasing LSM’s state-of-the-art facilities and vibrant learning spaces for both curricular and extracurricular activities.
This academic year’s Open House reaffirmed LSM’s dedication to holistic student formation—going beyond academics to instill Christian values, a spirit of Gospel brotherhood, and a commitment to joyful service. Parents also learned about the school’s prestigious affiliations, including PAASCU Accreditations and membership in the International Boys’ Schools Coalition, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education while strengthening global educational standards.
