Journeying Together in Hope

Tomorrow, we enter the sacred season of Lent—a time of prayer, repentance, and renewal. As one Lourdesian family, we will gather at 7:30 A.M. in Br. Juniper Square for the Liturgy of the Word and the Imposition of Ashes. May this solemn moment open our hearts to conversion, grace, and a deeper commitment to Christ.

This year, Pope Francis calls us to “journey together in hope”, echoing the Jubilee 2025 theme: Pilgrims of Hope. As we receive the ashes, may they remind us of both our mortality and God’s boundless mercy, calling us to renewal and transformation.

“Memento, homo, quia pulvis es, et in pulverem reverteris.”
“Remember, man, you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” (Genesis 3:19)

In observance of Ash Wednesday, the canteen will serve only meatless options, inviting us to embrace fasting and abstinence as acts of faith and solidarity. We also encourage everyone to attend Holy Mass at their parishes or a nearby church, deepening our spiritual journey.

May this day mark a hopeful beginning, rekindling our faith, deepening our compassion, and guiding us to live as true pilgrims of hope in Christ. Pax et bonum!
