“I have done what was mine to do. May Christ teach you what is yours.”
So did Saint Francis say to his brothers 800 years past, and also to us 800 years later. This year, we commemorate the eighth centenary of his Transitus since 1226. We have been blessed to commemorate our holy Father Francis with the consecrated persons of the Franciscan Family, and the Apostolic Nuncio, the Most Reverend Charles J. Brown, DD who presided the First Mass of the Solemnity of our Seraphic Father.

True to its timeless spirit, this year’s Transitus was as moving and meaningful as ever thanks to the Lourdesian students and formators who poured their hearts into making this commemoration grace-filled, also to all who joined us in celebrating the eternal life enjoyed by the Poverello of Assisi. Indeed, Francis is alive.
