One of the most profound highlights of Lourdes School of Mandaluyong‘s 65th Blue Sapphire Founding Anniversary celebration is the blessing and reopening of the Blessed Jose Maria de Manila Museum and Archive, alongside the Marian Exhibit, on February 11, 2025—a momentous occasion that meaningfully coincides with the Solemnity of Our Lady of Lourdes.
The blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony was presided over by Most Rev. Honesto F. Ongtioco, D.D., Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Cubao, in the presence of our Capuchin administrators and priests, led by Fr. Cesar F. Acuin, OFM, Cap., School Rector, and the newly ordained Rev. Fr. Jusfer John A. Albert, OFM Cap., Campus Minister. We were also graced by the presence of former students and formators who are now ordained priests, as well as Her Excellency Grace Relucio-Princesa, former Ambassador of the Philippines to the Holy See.
More than a tribute to our past, this event is a reaffirmation of our mission to uphold the values of faith, history, and Catholic education. As we move forward, we entrust our Lourdesian journey to our Mother, seeking her intercession to guide, protect, and inspire us as we continue to form young hearts and minds in the light of Christ.
May this milestone deepen our commitment to Holiness, Excellence, and Service as we celebrate our Marian and Capuchin Franciscan tradition, embrace innovation, and hone Christian leaders. Pax et bonum!
