EARLIER TODAY, the Lourdesian spirit shone brightly as we gathered for the much-awaited Students’ Christmas Party, aptly dubbed “Bituin ng Pasko,” organized by the Student Government of Lourdes-High School and Student Government of Lourdes – Grade School. The day was filled with joy, enthusiastic cheers, and a warm sense of fraternal camaraderie. Lourdesian masters, dressed in their best “cozy and bright” Christmas outfits, showcased their incredible talents, eagerly participated in fun games, and excitedly awaited the raffle announcements, while teachers and staff presented lively dance numbers, adding to the true festive spirit of Christmas.
Beyond the fun, however, this gathering beautifully highlighted the deeper meaning of the season. A special moment of solidarity was shared with our hardworking Maintenance Staff, School Security Guards, Faculty, Admin, and Staff—often the unsung heroes of our community. With hearts full of gratitude, the masters presented gifts to honor them, reminding us that Christmas is not just about receiving but about giving and honoring those who serve us selflessly. After the program in the assembly area, students and advisers proceeded to their classrooms to continue celebrating with their respective Christmas parties.
In the afternoon, the officers of the Grade School and High School Student Governments organized another meaningful Christmas program and solidarity activity, this time for the school’s cleaning staff and their families at Lourdes Hall. The event featured engaging activities and heartfelt sharing of experiences, creating an atmosphere of warmth and appreciation. The Student Government Officers and Grade Level Representatives presented generous gifts, adding a special touch to the season for the staff and their families.
The activity concluded with a heartwarming salu-salo, where stories, laughter, and moments of connection were further shared with their Kuyas and Ates. The meal, lovingly prepared by our masters, brought everyone together, creating a fitting end to a day of celebration and fraternal camaraderie.
Truly, the event reminded us that Christmas is about giving and celebrating together as one community. As we reflect on this celebration, may we continue to share joy, love, and hope with others, embodying Christ’s kindness and generosity.
Kudos to our dedicated Student Government Officers and their moderators for this annual initiative! Enjoy your Christmas break, masters! We look forward to seeing you refreshed and ready for the resumption of classes on January 6, 2025, and gear up for the 65th Blue Sapphire Founding Anniversary celebration of the “school we love so well.” Warm Christmas greetings of peace and goodness to you and your loved ones!
