ICYMI | Lourdes School of Mandaluyong was home to the opening of the 11th #SeasonOfCreation for the Archdiocese of Manila on August 31, 2024, themed “Hope and Act with Creation,” inspired by Romans 8:19-25. Organized by the Ecology Ministry of RCAM and the parishes of the Archdiocese of Manila, the event is a meaningful response to the universal call for environmental stewardship.
Rev. Fr. Jefferson E. Agustin, OFMCap, parish priest of St. Francis of Assisi Parish – Mandaluyong, warmly welcomed the participants from various parishes of the Archdiocese. The event featured engaging activities such as Laudato Si’ Walk and Parade, Kids’ Activities, Poster-Making Contest, Workshops and Film Showing, along with Green Booths promoting eco-friendly initiatives.
The celebration of the Holy Eucharist at St. Francis of Assisi Parish Church, presided over by His Eminence, Jose F. Cardinal Advincula highlighted and capped the event. During the Mass, the congregation honored the late Sr. Maria Vida C. Cordero, SFIC, with the inaugural Archdiocese of Manila Serviam Award for her unwavering commitment to environmental advocacy. Additionally, certificates of appreciation were presented to Rev. Fr. Cesar F. Acuin, OFMCap, Rector of LourdesSchool Mandaluyong, and Fr. Jefferson E. Agustin, OFMCap for their generous hospitality and fraternal support.
